Social House overlooks the Dancing Fountains at Dubai Mall.
If you have been a regular at Dubai Mall, then you would know exactly where Social House is located. This buzzing restaurant is deceptively big-for the longest time we assumed that they just had one open section for dining, but instead a door leads you to a huge space that overlooks the Dancing Fountains. There is plenty of seating including a private dining room (ideal for meetings).
The extensive menu starts with a wholesome breakfast spread. The all-day dining section is cleverly split into East and West and depending on your mood, there is an endless choice of dishes.
We began with crispy duck spring rolls served with a delicious peanut sauce. The spicy calamari dipped in their homemade special sauce was another great starter.
The mains can be difficult to choose but the Korean BBQ was an easy choice as it was highly recommended by our server. This dish was an absolute winner- the tender meat was marinated in a bbq sauce and topped with crispy onions. We thoroughly enjoyed it with a side of jasmine rice.
The Nasi Goreng seemed to be served on most of the tables around us, making it another easy pick. The traditional Indonesian dish of fried rice was served with chicken, shrimp, fried egg, and prawn crackers. The ultimate comfort food, it hit the spot.
If you are in the mood for a more light meal then the newly launched nutritious and colorful Poke Bowls must be ordered.
Social House offers a laid back atmosphere and casual vibe. It is the perfect spot to catch up with friends over the weekend.
