Roux in City Walk is a laidback and stylish dining option.
Roux initially caught our attention because of its lovely décor. Sleek and stylish, it is a homegrown casual dining restaurant located in City Walk.
We were invited to experience the lunch menu. Our meal began with the delicious Green Salad (55 AED)- fresh rocket and baby spinach and slow baked kale chips served with Australian avocado, raw red onion and topped with a spicy lemon dressing.
The Ultimate Fries (35 AED) sounded too good to resist and we had to try them. A sizzling platter of skinny fries tossed with garlic, parsley, chives, jalapeno and parmesan cheese, let us warn you that they are spicy.
If you are in the mood for a hearty main course then the Wagyu beef medallions (130 AED) served with honey roast parsnips and accompanied by a Dijon and wholegrain blended jus is worth trying.
The Old Fashioned Burger came highly recommended and was a juicy grilled patty blending both waygu and angus, a slice of New Zealand cheddar cheese and topped with romaine lettuce, tomato and onions.
Roux has a relaxed vibe and serves contemporary dishes with their own twist.
