A stunning restaurant located in the luxurious Waldorf Astoria DIFC.
The pizzas looked like they were in high demand with most tables ordering more than just one. Our server recommended the burrata version that he promised would surprise us. Made with crust that is fermented for 72 hours, the toppings included sweet onions, Parmigiano Reggiano, sundried tomato and of course, fresh Burrata. The sweetness of the onions, sharpness of the sun-dried tomato and the creaminess of the burrata, all came together exceptionally well and this pizza was simply delicious!
In the mains we started with the Agnolotti Del Plin Alla Zucca Con Fonduta Di Parmigiano Reggiano. Although the name might sound complicated, this simple dish is an absolute delight-homemade pasta stuffed with pumpkin butter, sage and topped with 30 months aged Parmigiano Reggiano fondue and almond sticks for that extra crunch. We also tried the risotto cooked in prawn jus and served prawns and topped with truffle-rich and decadent the taste was exquisite.
The restaurant only sources from the finest suppliers, with Parmigiano Reggiano from Emilia Romagna, Olive Oil from the idyllic Toscana, Tartufo from Piemonte and Parmigiano from the dramatic Emilia Romagna. The Artisan tells the story of Italy through its most beloved dishes and its a place that will truly impress you!
