WHERE TO ENJOY A QUINTESSENTIAL ASIAN IFTAR IN DUBAI

Iftar in Dubai

Enjoy modern Cantonese food for Iftar in Dubai.

Hakkasan offers modern Cantonese food and this Ramadan they will be offering a new menu curated just for the Holy Month.  We were invited to experience the four-course set menu that begins with a selection of traditional Arabic drinks including Date juice, Laban, Kamar din. Jallab, dates and baklava to break the fast.

The first course is a clear Chinese wild mushroom soup that is subtle in flavor.  It is followed by a Hakka steamed dim sum platter which includes scallop shumai, har gau, black pepper duck dumpling, and prawn dumpling. The signature crispy duck salad with pomelo, pine nut and shallot was our favorite in the small eats.

We then moved onto the delicious mains including wok-fry Assam prawn with okra and stir-fry lily bulb and garlic shoot.  The contemporary dishes were made using traditional techniques and fresh local ingredients and retained the essence of conventional Cantonese cuisine.  A Mandarin mousse with almond nougatine was the final dish to be served.

Overall this Iftar menu offers an impressive epicurean experience.
