Qbara is offering a special Iftar menu throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.
An invitation to experience the Qbara Iftar menu was one that we were eager to accept. One of our personal favourite restaurants in town, we not only love the fusion cuisine but also the Arabesque-style decor. During the month of Ramadan, Qbara has a special set menu that consists of a 5-course meal.
Having arrived right before the breaking of the fast, our table was already set out with the first round of cold appetisers including dates, olives, arabic bread with zaatar, hummus, butter bean with feta and zaatar, haydari, labneh and baba ganoush. A delicious spread that we were quick to finish.
Next is a choice of soup-our order of the harira soup was a generous serving that was both hearty and wholesome in its flavour combinations.
Before we knew it we had the mouth-watering hot appetisers brought to our table. The falafel salad with chargrilled gems, cucumber and tahini taratar, chargrilled chicken and leek skewers and the soft-shell crab saj. Despite knowing we had two more courses ahead of us, we still finished every last bite.
The mains consisted of chiliean seabass, oriental rice, grilled vegetables and the show-stopper which was the lamb shoulder that had been marinated for 24 hours, cooked for 24 hours and then pressed for 12 hours-tender meat that simply melted in the mouth.
The trio of desserts was innovative and an absolute treat-umali with rose water custard, mahalabiya brûlée with camel milk and chocolate katayef with candied orange.
The service was efficient and attentive and the meal was top-notch and as always Qbara left us impressed.
Qbara Iftar In Dubai is priced at 245 AED per person (inclusive of tax) and is served from sunset until 8:30 pm.
