China Grill is an Asian restaurant now in Dubai and is located at Westin Hotel Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina.
We were one of the first to be invited to China Grill and experience the stunning and glamorous new spot in town. Located in Dubai Marina, it is a stylish and classy addition in New Dubai and definitely worth the trek for anyone living in Downtown and beyond.
China Grill has its own private entrance within The Westin Mina Seyahi that takes you directly to the lounge area. The décor is sophisticated and edgy and the female DJ is another unexpected highlight. The music is pumping and the atmosphere is definitely worth spending an entire evening out for.
Our dinner reservations meant that we had to head down to our table. The dining area follows the same oriental glamour theme and we can’t help but be amazed at-bespoke wall features and the updated version of the traditional Chinese urns that have a subdued and mesmerizing setting.
The modern Chinese theme is also truly reflected in the menu that has a range of classic dishes that have been given a refined, light twist while maintaining maximum flavor. The concept is to share, which is an added benefit as the menu is very tempting-exquisite combinations of dim sum including duck and beef, but it is the King Scallop and Lobster Siew Mai that comes with a side of Lobster broth that is simple yet exotic in its flavor combinations and presentation.
The light and refreshing Yellowtail Sashimi with orange-ginger marmalade and jalapenos and the Aubergine with Burrata are both memorable and distinctive. The larger portions also encompass a wide-ranging variety with everything from black tea Chilean Sea-Bass to Kalbi Spiced BBQ Short-Ribs. Even the accompaniments are hard to resist with Crispy Kale and Lobster Mashed Potatoes.
For dessert the Bananas in A Box is the grand finale with a dramatic fire over the chocolate-it tastes even better than it looks!
You don’t have to be a Chinese food devotee to enjoy an enchanting evening at this high-spirited and vibrant bar and restaurant.
