TREAT YOURSELF AT THE UPSCALE SWANKY NEW CHINA GRILL BAR & LOUNGE IN DUBAI

China Grill Bar and Lounge is located at the Westin Mina Seyahi.

We are always excited for new openings in town, so of course we were delighted with an invitation to experience an evening at the China Grill Lounge. The ideal place to unwind in style, it is hard not to be wowed by the relaxed and sophisticated vibe at China Grill. Majestic yet intimate, there are ethnic Asian design elements incorporated into a contemporary interior. A wide open space, the lighting is dim without being too dark, and there is enough space for you to never feel crowded even if it is full to capacity.

The lounge menu includes an eclectic mix of Asian-style tapas. However, if you aren’t satisfied with the selection, the staff is happy to oblige by offering the wider restaurant menu.

We began with the delicious salt and pepper soft shell crab that were highly addictive. Next came the king crab maki filled with avocado, masago and caviar and topped with gold leaf-a dish worth ordering again. In the mood for something meaty-we tried the wagyu rib-eye served on skewers, although flavorful the meat was too well-done for our taste. The star dish of the night had to be the large plate of the lobster and scallion pancake served with truffle butter. Hearty and moreish, it was truly delightful. For dessert we picked the green tea mousse-light and fluffy the flavors came together well with the almond ice cream.

The drinks selection is extensive but it is the Asian-inspired special cocktails (try the Tom Yum Collins cocktail) that have been expertly made, are worth trying out. The female-DJ is another highlight-her playlist comprises of a chilled-out mix. The staff is exceptionally helpful, in fact our server, Dhedy from Indonesia, kept us highly entertained.

The China Grill Bar and Lounge is a place to hangout with friends or party in a unique luxe setting while feasting on modern and refined Asian bites.
