Weekends are our chance to unwind, so we like to head to laid-back spots that offer great food and a relaxed vibe. Our latest Cuban discovery brings exciting new flavours to Dubai in a casual and fun setting.
Excited to try newly opened Café Habana, we ordered a selection of different dishes to discover what it had to offer.  We started with Chips and Guacamole, which was freshly made and perfectly seasoned. A perfect start to the meal!
We also tried the Ensalada de Mango, which was refreshing and packed with flavour, making it one of the best we’ve tasted.
Craving meat, we were ordered the Cheeseburger; a gastronomical delight with hand-cut fries that we just couldn’t get enough of.
Tacos are an iconic dish from the region, so of course we had to try Café Habana’s take. Our Shrimp filling came with the usual staples – rice, beans, sour cream, and guacamole.  With bold flavours and rich textures, it was a winning dish.
To round off the meal, we satisfied our sweet tooth with Res Leches; a decadent sponge cake layered with cream and strawberries.
The eatery is quintessentially South American, with patterned tiles on the floor, a poster of Che Guevara adorning the walls, and diner-style seating. It’s loud and lively, with a latino party atmosphere. We loved it. Forget the romance though… This spot is better suited for groups of friends catching up, so don’t make the mistake of booking it for an intimate dinner for two!
