The Friday brunch tradition is very much part of the Dubai expat culture life.  But if you want to avoid the typical  haunts that can often get too loud, then Cafe Belge is just the place for you.  One of our favorite spots in town, Cafe Belge exudes a sophisticated and refined aura-the 1920’s style setting definitely appeals to our senses.  There is an outdoor space that is just as appealing and because of it never gets too warm.

The meal begins with a seafood platter brought straight to the table-a wonderful medley of fresh shellfish and crustaceans from Europe along with Belgian mayonnaise, oyster bread  and mignonette sauce.  The grand platter not only tastes delicious but is also a visual delight.
As the starters are brought out the table quickly gets filled up with soft poached egg with potato truffle puree, chicken cromesquis with braised mustard seeds, foie gras mousse served on waffles, tomato and sea asparagus salad with a light dressing. Â The dishes are bite-sized and petite making them easy to finish up.
The mains are an impressive line-up of salmon cakes, pan seared sea bass, mushroom vol-a-vent, beef chateaubriand and wagyu burgers. Â Again, the dishes are perfectly executed and it is best to slowly pace yourself and enjoy it all.
Dessert is yet another round fancy affair-a mouthwatering range of sweet delights, including chocolate cremeux, ginger white chocolate mousse, warm apple fritters and our personal favourite an indulgent pistachio cake.
Everything about this brunch is appealing-from the saxophone player to the food being served on the table. Â So, if you want to spend a relaxed afternoon with friends and family enjoying good food then Cafe Belge in Dubai is the spot worth trying.
The Friday Brunch takes place from 12:00-4:00pm and is priced at 295 AED with soft drinks and 395 AED with grape and Belgian hop beverages.
