Indulge yourself in a Friday brunch made for chocoholics in Dubai.
A chocolate-themed brunch in Dubai is one of the best ways to cheer up and ward off those summer blues during the weekend when the temperatures still don’t allow you to eat outside! So, as chocolate lovers, we could not decline the invitation to review a Chocoholic Brunch taking place at the Sheraton Dubai in Mall of the Emirates.
Wondering what the Chocoholic Brunch is all about? Well, the savory part is a regular spread, composed of live cooking stations such as the flame grill, interactive sushi rolling and a tandoor oven.
The food is not decadent, the choice is sensible and although the starters dishes are limited you have plenty of mains (we recommend their seafood thermidor and seared seabass). The quality of food served is very honorable although the restaurant lacks a bit of charm and warmth.
The real showstopper of the brunch is the dessert table. All compiled in the “Chocolat Avenue” they will satisfy all chocolate cravings. The room is filled with dark and white chocolate fountains with fruits and sweets to dip in, a range of different chocolates and a live crepe station. Another room has been solely dedicated to chocolate desserts and decorated with chocolate sculptures all over-impressive!
Oh, and last but not least a dedicated children’s entertainment area makes the brunch attractive. Unfortunately, the choice of kid-friendly food is very limited (pasta bolognaise or fish fingers and fries) but they can enjoy VIP access to the chocolate room as well as a range of board games, arts and crafts inside a dedicated soft-floored, cozy space.
Overall, the chocolate brunch offers a satisfactory experience but sadly lacked that ‘wow-factor’ that we were expecting.
