YOUR PLANS FOR EID IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING FOR IDEAS

Rogo's Abu Dhabi Yas Island

Things to do if you are spending Eid in Dubai.

The long holidays for Eid Al Adha are upon us and if like us you are also staying in Dubai for Eid then let us help you relax and have fun here.

PLAY

Take a ride on the world’s longest slide (500 meter long) in Dubai on the 25th and 26th of September at Autodrome. Previously in America, the UK and Netherlands, this family-friendly water slide event will offer an unforgettable experience, like never before.  For more details click here.

EAT

Step into a cozy tavern at this authentic Greek restaurant that has recently opened in Jumeirah Lake Towers. Serving delicious traditional food, the place is already packed and buzzing, so make sure you make a reservation before heading there. Follow us here to read the full feature!

PARTY

China Grill is an uber-trendy bar and restaurant at the Westin. They have now added Industrial Avenue, a casual bar with a factory style décor and a live DJ.  It is definitely not as swanky and we have mixed feelings about it after we visited it, but it is a new spot you may want to check out.

ENTERTAIN

Looking for something new to experience and please your kids? Then why not “travel” and spend the day at Yas Island?  Only an hour away from Dubai, you will give them a heavy dose of fun-from Yas Waterworld to Ferrari World or the 4D cinema experience in the brand new VOX cinema at Yas Mall. There is enough to entertain them for the whole days. And of course, the fantastic ROGO’S restaurant (see our photo above) and its rollercoaster is a must-go for kids (and even adults) and ideal for an entertaining lunch.

SIGHTSEE

Yes, we said we were sorting your plans if you are staying in Dubai for Eid, but in case you do get a last minute travel bug then catch a one-hour flight to Salalah in Oman. Temperature is much cooler than in Dubai now. Enjoy this short escape with a spot of shopping, sightseeing – caving has become one of the best attractions in Salalah – and relaxing.
