Friends’ Avenue Cafe is an independent coffee shop that has popped up in Dubai.
When it comes to coffee in Dubai, the options can be a bit underwhelming.  We do have a few firm favorites but unfortunately there is always something lacking.  When the coffee is strong, the vibes are weak and when the vibes are strong the coffee is weak.  But hold on because if you are a coffee addict like us, then there is a brand new spot to try-and we can say that the coffee and the vibes are great.
Friends’ Avenue Cafe is tucked away in JLT.  This homegrown coffee shop is unpretentious and the staff is immediately welcoming.  There is plenty of comfortable seating both indoor and outdoors and even a communal table to work on.  We personally love the industrial decor with exposed walls and mason jar lights.  Oh and there is also a bicycle hanging from a side wall.  Overall its cozy and relaxed-an ideal spot to hangout with friends or then just to come alone and work on your laptop (of course, there is free wifi).
They serve RAW coffee, so its rich, well-balanced and an absolute delight. Â There is also an extensive food menu starting with hearty breakfast options that are served bright and early. Â So, if you work around the area, then start off the day right with an order of french toast (22 AED). Â For lunch there are sandwiches, salads and even a gluten-free menu.
For now the clientele is decidedly local-office workers and families living around the area. Â But once word gets out it will become more crowded and a preferred haunt for those who enjoy that hipster vibe.
