OLIOLI THE NEW EDUCATIONAL AND INTERACTIVE CENTER FOR KIDS IN DUBAI

OLIOLI is an impressive new interactive play area for kids in Dubai

Dubai has no shortage of entertainment for kids, but OliOli is not like the usual ones we are used to visiting.  It is a new interactive center for kids that helps to develop their curiosity and imagination.  So, of course we were curious to review this new educational play area in Dubai that mums have been raving about.

So, what does it offer?

OliOli (meaning Joy in Hawaiian), is housed inside a dedicated two floor building in Al Quoz (behind Oasis mall).  It is composed of interactive galleries with hands on activities: Creative Lab in which you build object in wood, Water Gallery where kids can explore the fluid dynamic (photo above), Cars & Ramps Gallery or even the Future Park where the children’s artworks become part of a digital aquarium that takes over a whole wall.

Our favourite was the brilliant Air Gallery where children can experience the simulation of strong wind in a glass capsule.  Another room to enjoy is the impressive giant string-woven playground (photo on top), a crocheted rainbow of nylon looking like a spider web turned into an interactive play space for children in Dubai. It has been created by a Japanese artist and there are less than 10 in the world. Kids can literally spend hours playing, bumping, jumping, sliding inside it.

Oli Oli is very spacious, it is quite the opposite of the traditional play areas that are packed with games and activities. At OliOli children are not distracted as each room focuses on something specific. There are very innovative things to do for all age groups, although some activities are more suited for young kids.
