THE UAE’S FIRST WATER BAR

Dubai residents are used to the finer things in life being at our fingertips – from the world’s top restaurants, to the most luxurious fashion labels, to the most exclusive hotels and resorts. So it may not surprise you to hear that a local company has launched the UAE’s first online Water Bar, selling a selection of the finest drinking waters in the world.

With free delivery to addresses in the UAE, there are five different waters to pick from. Iskilde, from springs in the remote Danish highlands (a slightly sweet, soft and silky taste); Te Waihou, from springs in the rugged hills of New Zealand (a well-balanced, clean, and refreshing taste); Mondariz, from the granite rocks in the Spanish region of Galicia (a lightly balanced taste); Tasmanian Rain, pure rainwater captured on the north west coast of Tasmania (a softer, velvety taste); and Ice Age, from the glaciers of the British Columbia, Canada (an extremely light and instantly refreshing taste).

Our favourite is the latter – Ice Age. Not only does the water come in a 500ml plastic bottle (making it easier to carry around during the summer months), but it also has the world’s lowest natural mineral content, making it great for health as it flushes toxins from the body. We’re big fans of the light and refined flavour, which is the perfect form of refreshment on the warmest days.

We’re also impressed with the company’s eco credentials, boasting a carbon-neutral ethos and an applaudable recycling scheme where empty bottles are picked up with your next order.

Buying the water comes at a price, of course, with crates starting at just over 100 AED and rising to nearly 200 AED – but what do you expect for the finest water that money can by? And next time we host a dinner party, we know what we want on the table…
