We don’t generally review fast food eateries on Dubai Confidential, as they are by no means ‘hidden’ in the city. However, a new addition to Dubai deserves a mention for its concept and quality. For the first time, it feels relatively healthy to be eating a burger…

Elevation Burger, located on Sheikh Zayed Road, serves burgers that boast 100% organic grass-fed beef, along with freshly cut fries, all made in the eatery’s open kitchen. Everything is cooked in olive oil, which might not save on calories, but certainly saves on guilt. You can choose your type of burger (the Cheeseburger, 25 AED, with cheddar cheese was delicious) and varied toppings that go with it (we recommend the caramelised onions).

If you’re counting the calories or trying to steer clear of carbohydrates, you can choose your burger to be served in a crunchy lettuce leaf instead of the usual bread bun. Big thumbs up from us! The meat is so good that having no buns intensifies the flavour of the beef.

Admittedly it’s not the lightest or most refined meal, but if you like your burger joints, it’s one of the best of its kind.
