Looking for a laid-back lunch option in Jumeirah? Head to Le Gourmet – a café on Jumeirah Beach Road.
Centrally located in a whitewashed villa next to Lime Tree Café, Le Gourmet has a casual, yet sophisticated ambience that makes it the ideal venue for catching up with friends. There’s plenty of indoor and outdoor seating – but we recommend heading to the back of the restaurant where the tables overlook the pizza oven. Watching the chef build your pizza from scratch is the perfect way to work up an appetite.
The complimentary shot glass of refreshing strawberry smoothie is a lovely touch – but wait until you taste the pizza… The menu is extensive, but we opted for the Classic Margherita (37 AED) and Verra Pizza Napolitana (38 AED). The combination of simple and uncomplicated flavours, perfectly-cooked thin-crust dough, fresh ingredients, and extra virgin olive oil make the pizzas both filling and delicious.
We’re very excited to find such a tasty and reasonably-priced pizzeria in one of our favourite parts of town – and will definitely be heading back soon.
