Craft Café offers innovative food in a stylish space in the heart of Dubai Design District (d3).
We were recently invited to try the ethnic inspired eatery, Craft Café located in the creative Dubai Design District (d3). A brightly lit, stylish space, the café has a relaxed and friendly vibe.
The menu is filled with hearty, healthy, soulful food designed to complement an active and healthy lifestyle. The café prides itself in trying to use locally sourced food, and only the freshest ingredients
Opening bright and early, the menu offers all day breakfasts, salads, hearty mains, wraps to drinks such as hand harvested tea, smoothies and artisanal coffee blends.
We tried the delicately flavoured Duck salad (44 AED)-slow-cooked duck served on a bed of baby lettuce and topped with pomegranate, oranges, roasted walnuts and coriander.
The roasted baby chicken (55 AED) was moist and had distinct Asian flavours. We also ordered the roasted aubergine (32 AED), that was a little too char-grilled for our taste but came topped with a light yogurt sauce, toasted almonds and garlic.
Although we forgot to ask what was in the ‘raw’ tiramisu (20 AED), it still tasted good and we really hope it was a healthier version of the traditional recipe.
Crat Café is a homegrown concept offering an eclectic menu and stylish setting that is ideal for the burgeoning, creative d3 scene.
